Subject: Shadow person experience.

Hi, I'm from Warwick, RI. I am 49 now but as a child and throughout the years until I left my family’s home, I experienced Shadow People.

I shared a bedroom with my two brothers. Just outside our street facing window was a streetlight on a telephone pole. Whenever a vehicle would pass by, we would see the shadow of the telephone pole move across the room as the car went by. This is important because when the Shadow People came around, the shadow of the telephone pole moved but the shadow people just went about their business. They were there.

My first memory of these phenomena was around the age of 5 or 6. I remember being awaken by a loud voice. I sat up in bed to see two shadow people across the room and it looked as though they were checking out my younger brother. They were human shaped but I couldn't tell what gender they were. The one thing is that they were very short; probably about four to four and a half feet tall.

Over the years I woke to find these beings in our room; always checking to make sure my brothers were in their beds. One time, probably the scariest time, I was jolted awake by extreme cold. As soon as I opened my eyes, I was surrounded by the two shadow people. They seemed to be looking at me and moving up and down the side of my bed. They never made a noise and I felt frozen in fear. It was hard to breathe and I seemed to be paralyzed in fear. Soon enough they moved away and left the room.

The only other place in the house that we experienced anything paranormal was the basement. Our father would drink and become pretty mean. He would punish us by locking us in the basement. A few times while being locked down there, we would hear growling and a voice that was hard to understand.

Now, as a child our parents didn't want to hear any ghost stories. My father told me that if I told anyone, they would think I was crazy. I never told anyone not even my brothers and sisters. It wasn't until I was watching a Ghost hunting show and was talking to my older brother that I told him of my experience. He looked at me with a shocked look on his face and began to tell me that he, also, witnessed the shadow people. That's when he explained the reason why he always slept with the blanket up to his face; it did not matter how hot or cold. He also admitted to hearing the growling in the basement. The basement was the scariest place in the house. It always felt evil. The shadow people were scary as a child but never felt threatening.

Thank you for listening.
