Subject: Shadow in the Corner

Two months ago, I got a great Dane pup who barks at everything. He sleeps in bed with me every night and frequently wakes me up growling at something. I always pet him, reassure him its fine and go back to sleep.

But two nights ago, he started barking and growling really loud. This woke me up, I was going to pat him on the head but as I came out of my sleepy daze, I felt this awful pressure. Kind of like the feeling you get when you’re in an argument; you just feel the other persons anger. I felt like I was going to be sick. I saw something move out of the corner of my eye.

When I looked up, there was a tall shadow standing in the corner of my room, I'd say it was about six, six and a half feet tall and looked very much like the shadow of a man. My room is nearly pitch black except for the light on my alarm clock which casts a bit of a blue glow around the room. The shadow was as dark as could be, I couldn't make out any features, just its body shape.

When I saw it, I gasped and flipped on the light that's beside my bed. It just disappeared as I turned on the light. I'm 100% sure it wasn't just a shadow in the room, there's no tall people shaped things in my room that could possibly cast something like that.

When it disappeared, my dog stopped barking and laid back down.

I tried to go back to sleep with the light off but every time I did, I got the eerie feeling I was being watched. I ended up having to go back to sleep with the lights on, and even then, I still slept awfully.

Later that day I went right out and bought some sage which I burned all around the house and in all the corners (my mother used to do this every time our animals began to become uneasy for no reason at all. She was a firm believer they could see things that we cannot). Since then, my dog has not barked at anything in the middle of the night and I have yet to see another shadow in the corners.

I hope sage comes in handy to someone out there having problems with shadows, it's always helped my family out.
