Subject: The curious shadow
I woke up a few months ago in the middle of the night to see a dark figure standing in front of the blinds at the side of my bed bent over watching me sleep. I saw nothing but his silhouette, clearly a male shaped figure though smooth like he had no hair or garments on. I thought it was my husband at first and just laid there for several seconds looking at him wondering what he was doing watching me. When I began to hear my husband breathing from the other side of the bed, I became terrified, now thinking there was an intruder in the house. I gasped for air and sucked in a loud scream, throwing off the blankets getting ready to run, and then I realized now there no one there. The shadow just disappeared. I didn't feel threatened until I realized it wasn't my husband watching me. I felt like this shadow was just curious, like checking me out for some reason.
The next night, and ever since, one of my cats (I have two) that was previously very aloof now sleeps with me all night right beside me. She never slept with me before, and seldom even sought out any kind of attention. I adopted her from a shelter several years ago and we never really bonded until the day after this incident.
I have had other experiences also in the past and in different locations. I was sleeping alone in a really nice motel one night, I looked across the room and witnessed a hyper-colored human form cautiously step out from behind what appeared to be an invisible wall. I had been awake for some time just laying there thinking when I witnessed this. I was not threatened and very careful not to move. I knew what I was seeing was non-threatening and extremely unique if not impossible. I watched this form, masculine in shape, as he appeared to hesitate from coming out fully from behind this invisible wall. I knew he was watching me and seemed to fear being seen. He stepped out fully and took a few strides across the room, then rushed back to the place where he entered the room and disappeared. It was interesting because I could literally see his shape disappearing as if he walked behind a wall. At one point, I saw what looked like him grabbing the edge of the invisible wall and taking a longer look in my direction (hesitating) just before disappearing. I was oddly at ease with this incident.
Many other experiences I have also had but none of them fit into the shadow or faceless form category. I don't worry about them, and I know I'm not crazy, or some mystical sort of person so I just wonder.
