Subject: My experience with a Shadow Person
The summer of 2010 my grandma was placed in Oak Manor Assisted Living Facility in Largo, Fl with terminal cancer. It is located next to Serenity Gardens cemetery; her unit was on an end that overlooked the cemetery. Many times while visiting, my sister and I would see shadows moving out of the corner of our eyes in the hallway.
A few nights before Grandma's passing, my sister and I shared quite an experience together. We were sitting facing one another in a screened in second floor balcony of Grandma's room. I was on a bench towards the right which left a seat open on my left, my sister was on a chair across from me. I was texting but noticed my sister looking down outside at something. She was craning her head different directions which made me look to see what she saw. I turned to my right to look out the screen and saw a large dark shadow person come up the building into the patio with us. There was space between the bench I was sitting on and the wall behind me. I watched the shadow person move behind the bench, around it and sit down next to me on my left side. I leaned toward the right quickly because it startled me and stared right at it. That's when it seemed to notice we were seeing it. The shadow person jumped up, moved in front of our only light source, plunging us into darkness then quickly disappeared into the wall of Grandmas' room. The whole experience lasted maybe 3 minutes but left a lasting impression on us. The shadow was approximately 7 feet tall, blacker than black, no visible arms or legs. It was not wearing a hat and did not have any facial features. It seemed interested in us and curious.
When my sister first saw it, she said it was moving along the white fence and she thought her eyes were playing tricks on her. When I looked, it was on its way up to me. Its movements were slow at first but once it knew we saw it, it jumped up, moved quickly by door, paused, blocking our light and the moved quickly through wall. The funny part was my sister’s face when I turned to ask her if she saw it. Her mouth was hanging open in shock and she was pale so I had my answer. I wasn't scared, it did startle me because I wasn't expecting to see that but I found it to be amazing. My only fear was wondering why it was there, why did it go in Grandma's room and is it good or bad?? To this day, I can't shake the image from my head, it was a life changing experience.
