Hello,

I have had an experience with a Shadow person. After reading about shadow people usually being male, I decided to write to you. My experience took place 5 years ago; right after my youngest daughter was born.

My husband works nights and had just returned to work after being off to help with the baby. My daughter and I were sleeping in the living room, she was in her bassinet and I was in the recliner.

I woke up to my feet being pushed and shaken. When I opened my eyes, I could see a man standing at my feet, shaking me awake and calling my name. Of course, just waking up, my eyes were trying to focus, and I only saw a dark figure standing there. He said, "Dorr, wake up. It's me, Nick. Dorr, the baby is crying, wake up."

I replied with an "Ok, Ok" and didn't make a move to get up... I didn't hear her crying. Again, he shook my feet and said in a more stern and kind of a strict voice, " Dorr, wake up. The baby is crying. Do you want to get up and take care of her or should I take care of her?" The way he said the last part, '?should I take care of her?' scared me. There was something in his voice that, to me, sounded threatening. It struck me hard, because my husband has never said or acted 'threatening' about anything with the kids. I then told him I would get up and take care of her. I closed my eyes, briefly and opened them very quickly...I now heard the baby crying. I was very nervous about the threatening tone in his voice, so I got up quickly and picked up my daughter.

Being we were sleeping in the living room, I walked down the hall to ask my husband to just hold her so I could get her bottle and run to the bathroom. When I got to my room, my bed was empty. I thought this was rather strange since he just woke me up. So I checked the bathroom...empty. I checked the other kids rooms and the basement...he wasn't there either. By this time I am getting very freaked out and confused.

I walked out to the living room, looked out the front window and noticed our car was not there. I then looked at the door. It was securely locked. Then I looked at the clock...it read a little after 1am. Right then and there, I knew it could not have been my husband...he doesn't get home until 6am.

I finally managed to pull myself together and calm down. I, of course, took care of my daughter and she soon fell back to sleep...needless to say, I stayed awake the rest of the night, until my husband did come home.

That was my one and only experience with a Shadowperson. I do sense a male presence in the house, but I don't know who he could be. Every now and then, I catch a glimpse of 'something' or 'someone' out of the corner of my eye. I sometimes feel like I am being watched, yet noone is there.

Maybe my shadowperson was just watching over us that night. Perhaps, because I was in such a deep sleep, he woke me up so I could take care of my daughter. The 'threatening' tone in his voice could have been nothing more than a strict tone to really wake me up and go to my child. He could very well be a Guardian Angel....guess I will never know for certain.

I feel a bit more comfortable with this experience after reading your website and finding out that what I did experience/see was what you had described and defined as Shadow people...it wasn't all in my head or just a dream. The image of him will always be with me, and feeling him touch and shake my feet, well, that really blows my mind.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
